Her daughter, Trudy, unknowingly started Margie on her path of becoming the "Hat Lady" when Trudy purchased Margie's first hat while on vacation in the mid 90's. Margie had a passion to help anyone and anything she encountered. She took in many strays over the years, animals and human. She never knew a stranger and was always ready to help.
