Margaret Ann Oberle, age 94, of rural Mankato, died June 1, 2025, peacefully at Oak Terrace Senior Living, North Mankato, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 6, 2025, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Thursday at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to ECHO Food shelf and SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

Maggie was born September 8, 1930, to Henry and Margaret (Dineen) Scheibel in New Ulm. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1949. She was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Oberle on June 19, 1950, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Mankato. Maggie spent her working years beside Dick running the family farm. She was known as the “egg lady” to those on her egg delivery route. Maggie was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Sunshine Club, 4H leader, and Pfeffer card club. Maggie was an enthusiastic fan of the Vikings and Gopher football. She enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events. Maggie appreciated all family time and when time allowed a good book.

Maggie is survived by her four children, Jane (James) Traynor of Hastings, James (Monica) Oberle of Mankato, Paula (Barry) Rittenhouse of White Bear Lake, and Patrick (Carol) Oberle of Mankato; eleven grandchildren, Jason (Jilanne) Traynor, Jessica (Casey) Herrmann, Jenna (Brian) Bollenbeck, Andy (Megan) Oberle, Dan (MyLee) Oberle, Clare (Jay) Sallstrom, Sarah Rittenhouse, Kristin (Brian) Mahre, Emily Rittenhouse, Hannah Oberle (fiancé Hossein Moghimian), Erin Oberle (fiancé Ryan Anderson); twelve great grandchildren, Brady and Kaiya Traynor, Braedan and Brantley Herrmann, Alaina and Everly Bollenbeck, Alexandra and Zachary Oberle, Carter and Quinn Sallstrom, Audrey and Wesley Mahre; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Maggie was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Richard “Dick”; her parents; her sister, Lois Roberts; granddaughter, Kathleen Margaret Oberle; great grandson, Daniel Richard Herrmann; brothers-in-law, Tony Oberle, Tom Oberle, Bill Ratcliff, Willard Seifert, and John Roberts, sisters-in-law, Patricia Oberle, Mary Ann Oberle, and Virginia Ratcliff.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the care Maggie received initially at Mankato Lodge and most recently at Oak Terrace. The staff at both homes took such good care of Maggie.
