Margaret Marinello, 97, of McKeesport, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024. She was born February 28, 1927 in Braddock and was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Balogh) Matlos. She was the wife of the late Nicholas William Marinello, who passed away December 20, 2007. Margaret was a member of Mary, Mother of God- St. Patrick Church. She was a homemaker and devout woman of faith. She was an excellent baker and was known for her Slovak baking, especially Nut Rolls, thumbprints and Paska Bread. She had a special talent for crocheting gifts for her family, which they will treasure forever. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Madeline (Paul) McCarthy of White Oak; son, Phillip (Lynn) Marinello of North Huntingdon; 3 grandchildren, Vincent (Michelle) Faiello, Steven (Aleshia) Faiello and Sara (Ryan) Baird; 7 great-grandchildren, Angelia, Stefano, Annabella, Carmella, Nico, Cora and Levi; 3 great-great grandchildren, Cedar, Mantis and Eden; sister-in-law, Frances Matlos; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen; and brothers, George and Michael. Friends are welcome on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, Director. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 9:00 am at Mary, Mother of God- St. Patrick Church with The Rev. Vincent P. Velas, officiating.
