Josephine Marinello Obituary

Marinello, Josephine
MECHANICVILLE - Josephine "Josie" Marinello, 97, passed away October 2, 2025. She was born in 1928, the daughter of Aneillo and Lucy Marinello; and the mother of Richard A. Marinello, who passed away in August 2014.
She was born and educated in Mechanicville, N.Y., and was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church (now Church at Lower Newtown Road) for 32 years, serving in every area that she was qualified for, yet her calling was preparing and serving high-quality meals at her home for missionaries, pastors, family and friends.
She was employed at the Montgomery Ward in Menands for 30 years as a Credit Analyst and Payroll Clerk. She also worked part-time from her home as a bookkeeper for Arkay's Business. After Montgomery Ward closed, she went to work for Standard Manufacturing Company in North Troy, N.Y., where she was a Payroll and Personnel Manager for 20 years. She retired from there.
She is survived by her sister, Esther (Abe) Laurenzo of Vancouver, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by many siblings, nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in the Hudson View Cemetery, Mechanicville, N.Y.
Josie's loved ones would like to give thanks for her fine care at VanRensselaer Manor, and a special thank you to hospice for the wonderful end of life care they provided.
In memory of Josie and the wonderful time she had at church senior events, donations in her memory can be made to Church at Lower Newtown Road, Senior Ministry, 142 Lower Newtown Road, Waterford, N.Y. 12188.
