Margaret Sue Poplin McCrory, 85, of Byram, Mississippi, passed peacefully to her Heavenly home on Monday, January 5, 2026, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret was born on August 14, 1940, in Stanly County, North Carolina, to the late Jack Julius Poplin and Vashti "Peggy" Eudy Poplin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry McCrory; her son, Glenn McCrory; her brothers, Ned Poplin and Kenneth Poplin; and her sister, Jewell Culberson.

She is survived by her sons, Gene McCrory (Lisa) and Gary McCrory (Stephanie); and her cherished grandchildren; Maggie McCrory Parson (Austin), Eva Grace McCrory, Shelby McCrory Cothern (Dalton), Matthew McCrory, Madison McCrory, Eli McCrory, WIll McCrory, Mason McCrory, Michael McCrory, and Morgan McCrory.  She was also blessed with a great grandchild, Rory Parson, and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of another great grandson, Wesson Henry Cothern in March.

Margaret had a deep and abiding love for her Savior, Jesus Christ.  She often shared her testimony, drawing from her journey as a twenty-five-year breast cancer survivor.  Her faith was a steady source of strength and comfort throughout her life and an inspiration to all who knew her.

She found joy in the outdoors and treasured time spent caring for others and being with her family.  Margaret loved being a mother to her three boys, and her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren.  Her loving, nurturing spirit is evident in each of them and in the special bond they share with one another.  She delighted in simple pleasures such as fishing, camping, and picking blueberries, moments that reflected her appreciation for God's creation and family togetherness.

Margaret will be remembered for her unwavering faith, selfless heart, and deep devotion to her family.  Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on through those she leaves behind.
