Margaret A. Palu, 84, of Grand Island, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at CHI St. Francis. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family. A private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.

Margaret was born on March 26, 1941, in Ashton, NE, to Daniel and Theresa (Makowski) Bydalek. She grew up and attended school in Ashton, NE. After graduation Margaret moved to Omaha to attend Business school and worked at Mutual of Omaha. On March 17, 1962, Margaret was united in marriage to Lawrence Palu. To this union three children were born, Connie, Jeff and Mike. In 1974 the couple moved back to Margaret's hometown Ashton, NE. The couple has lived in Grand Island since 1985.

Margret was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, watching Husker football, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She cherished every moment with her loved ones.

Those left to cherish her memory; her daughter, Connie Palu; son, Jeff and Suzanne Palu; son, Mike and Tamiee Palu; grandchildren: Matt, Joshua, Brady (Katie), Jaden, Mackenzie, Taylor, Ember, Klayten, and Rylan; great-grandchildren: Peri, Will and Huxton. Margaret is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Kathy Bydalek, Kathleen Palu, and Maggie Palu as well as several nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved sharing time, stories, and laughter with.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence siblings, Mary Lou, Daniel, Dorothy and Patty.
