Margaret D. Phillips (Nee Kolostyak), 92, originally from Johnstown, PA passed away in Columbus on August 22, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Phillips, Jr. of Columbus, OH. She is survived by her loving children and their families, Thomas III( Maria), Mary, Stephen( Jackie), Carolyn( Marty), John (Mariam), Andrew, Timothy( Sherry), Rebecca, Raymond (Lyen), and her 23 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brother John Kolostyak and sister-in-law Nancy Kolostyak. She is survived by her sister in law Lillian Kolostyak , her brother Donald Kolostyak, and her sister Cookie Slatcoff (John). A graduate of CVMH Nursing School of Johnstown, PA. Marge served in the United States Air Force Nurse Corps where she met and married her devoted husband of 57 years Tom, an Air Force Pilot. She was extensively involved in volunteer activities with her children and grandchildren through schools and church. She has also been active with the Columbus Area Military Wives Club. Friends may call Friday August 29 from 4-7 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 EAST BROAD STREET, with Rosary at 6 p.m. followed by the Vigil for the Deceased. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 2692 E. 5th Avenue at 9:00 am on Saturday August 30, with private interment at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, contributions in Marge's memory may be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Parish.
