Send FlowersMargaret "Mardie" MacElree Robbins, affectionately known by her family as "Gas", was an embodiment of compassion and resilience, a beacon of love, and a testament to the power of generosity.
Born on July 26, 1929, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, she graced the world with her vibrant spirit for 96 remarkable years. Her radiant smile and benevolent heart brought joy to all who were fortunate to know her. Margaret, a woman of faith, dedicated much of her time and energy to the First United Methodist Church of Dover, where she spread love and goodwill among her community.
Margaret was a dedicated educator who spent her career shaping young minds in public education. Her love for children extended beyond the classroom to her cherished grandkids and great-grandkids, who were the light of her life. In her leisure time, Margaret could often be found tending to her garden, feeding the birds, nose deep in a good book, or simply enjoying the company of her family. Her passion for nurturing things – whether it was the flowers in her garden or the minds of her students – was a fundamental part of her generous and loving nature.
Margaret leaves behind a loving family who will hold her memory dear, including her son, Neal Robbins, and daughter-in-law, Vickie Huff; grandchildren, Matt Robbins, Chris Robbins and wife Dyana, Amanda Robbins, Christin Robbins, and Dustin Robbins; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Michael, Abigail, and Ethan Robbins; 6 nieces and 2 nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Robbins; son, Philip Robbins; parents, Eugene and Helen Stevenson; and her brother, James Stevenson.
Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Margaret's memory will be forever etched in our hearts, not only for what she did but for the warmth and love she shared so freely. Her life was a beautiful testament to the power of love, resilience, and generosity. Margaret's legacy will continue to inspire and uplift us all.

Following a private committal in the Chapel of Light, cremation arrangements were entrusted to the J. Herman Humphrey Dignity Cremation Center under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Dover First United Methodist Church, 81 West Water Street, Dover, Arkansas, 72837, with Pastor Paul Seay officiating. Memorial donations may also be made to the church.

Mardie and my husband´s sister, Lee Clark Minor, became good friends when young girls. Their friendship continued until Lee passed away in 2015. Lee lived in Tulsa but came to Russellville often and Mardie would come visit her in our home. Mardie was a bright spot in people´s lives and I´m glad we got to know her. God bless her family. I know you will miss her.
