M. Lynn Satterfield

M. Lynn Satterfield, age 78, entered into rest October 30, 2025 in Colville, Washington. Lynn was born April 16, 1947 in Tonasket, Washington to Joseph and Ruth (Meyer) Walmer. Lynn was one of three girls in the family.

Over the years, Lynn would work as a dispatcher for the Department of Natural Resources, Forest Service. As a CWICC team member, she was part of the location in the country to implement dispatching of multiple agencies from one office. She spoke very fondly and proudly of another event where a fellow team member found the black box from the 2003 space shuttle crash over Louisiana and Texas. She was a determined trainer and leader.

Lynn possessed a strong and decisive nature, always clear in her convictions and expectations. She approached motherhood with high standards and deep commitment, serving as a devoted provider to her son and daughter. She was instrumental in guiding their journey and was a reliable source of support.

For recreation, Lynn enjoyed the outdoors. As her children grew up, there were many camping trips and fishing outings. She loved gardening. Lynn also enjoyed traveling with her Aunt Julie throughout the United States.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Ann Rowley and Baby Walmer.

Surviving are her son Todd Strobel, her daughter Brenda Berg (Dusty), stepson Daniel (Julie) Satterfield, stepson Todd Satterfield and grandchildren Shadda Strobel, Brian Strobel, Kameron Strobel, Crystal Lundquist-Naff, Justin Lundquist, and Mike Lundquist, and 11 Great Grandchildren.

A viewing is scheduled for November 12, 2025 at the Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville from Noon – 5:00 p.m. and November 13, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Funeral Service is scheduled for November 13, 2025 at the Danekas Funeral Chapel beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville.
