Margaret A. Seeling

Margaret A. Seeling, age 88, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully Sunday night, February 23, 2025, at the Jewish Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 29, 1936, in Peebles, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harold V. and Gladys (Trenner) Hougland. Margaret was a cook for Webster Elementary for several years but what she loved the most was raising her sons. She loved playing golf, tending to her garden, and flower beds. However, the joy of her life was undoubtedly her grandchildren. Margaret's face lit up whenever she spent time with them, their youthful energy and innocent love bringing her immense happiness. Her grandchildren will fondly remember her as a pillar of wisdom, love, and warmth. Margaret and her beloved husband, Robert, cherished their winter vacations in Florida. Those getaways were their paradise, a place where they could share laughter, love, and precious moments together away from the seasonal chill. These precious memories in Florida are celebratory milestones of a love that remained unwavering till the very end. Margaret's beautiful journey on earth might have ended, but her spirit, love, and memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Margaret is survived by her husband, Robert Seeling; two sons, Bob (Diane) Seeling and Patrick (Jennifer) Seeling; grandchildren, Kirk Seeling, Kyle (Jennifer) Seeling, Chelsey (Jeremy) Purdin, McKinze White, Brooke (Jason) Brookbank, and Brittany (Klay) McKenzie; nine great grandchildren, Kayla Seeling, Hunter Seeling, Konner Seeling, Kolton Seeling, Keenan White, Carter Brookbank, Ellie White, Kole McKenzie, and Blakely McKenzie; two brothers, one sister, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Kay Seeling, and three sisters. Private funeral and burial in the Hillsboro Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Margarets name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
