Margaret Elizabeth Selewski

Margaret Elizabeth Selewski age 66 of Rockwood, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025. Beth earned her bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Tennessee Tech University where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha national women's fraternity and Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society. After graduation, she worked as a systems engineer at Tennessee Valley Authority Watts Bar Nuclear Plant until retirement. Beth excelled in the sciences, but also loved gardening, theater, dance and travel. She danced and volunteered for many years at Arts in Motion, where she especially enjoyed helping young dancers as the nutcracker backstage "mouse wrangler" and as chaperone on trips to New York City. Beth always had a pile of books to read and a list of upcoming movies to watch. Some of her favorites included Star Wars, Marvel and Disney. Beth was preceded in death by her beloved husband James Selewski, Sr., father Fred Wilson, Jr. and mother-in-law Mary Ann Selewski.
Survivors include mother Jeanne Wilson, son James "Chip" Selewski, Jr. (Ryann), sisters Anne Oakes and Pat Doss (Jim), brother Freddie, and a loving network of extended family and friends. Special thanks to friends Jackie Wolfe and Cissy Perkins and to all the care teams at NHC Cavette Hill, Care Around the Block, and UT Oncology & Hospice. CAB's Aundria and Karli in particular became like family to Beth.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 11th at Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman from 5:00-7:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to UT Medical Center's End of Life Care Gift Fund www.utmedicalcenter.org/more/end-life-gift-fund
