Margaret Patricia Watson Sessions was the last of thirteen children born to the late Alex J. Watson and the late Susan Octavia McFadden Watson on September 3, 1935, in Greeleyville, South Carolina. She entered eternal rest on Sunday, July 27, 2025, in
Atlanta, Georgia.
She was predeceased by her Husband, Charles Sessions, thirteen Siblings and their Spouses; two Daughters, Sheila F. Sessions and Joyce Watson; two Sons Floyd Johnson and Barron "Nubby"Sessions and one Grandson Willie "Boona" Cody and Three Great-great Grands Zy'Mir Kodi Walker, Twins Marquis and Marquez A. Sessions.
Margaret joined Wilson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME) at an early age. She graduated from Williamsburg County Training School (WCT) in Greeleyville, SC. Margaret resided in Conway, SC for a while after graduation and it was there that she met her husband, Charles Sessions. Later, they both decided to move and make
Atlanta, Georgia their home. Margaret worked for many, many years for Attorney Nancy Lawler and family doing Domestic Housework to help support her family until her Retirement.
Margaret rededicated her life to Christ and joined Antioch Baptist Church and became a dedicated member of the Usher Board. She enjoyed that position and held if faithfully until she decided to relocate back to Conway, SC in 2014 after living in Atlanta for more than fifty years. After moving back to Conway, she continued serving and worshiping the Lord by joining Bethlehem #1 Missionary Baptist Church under the Leadership of the Reverend Dr. Sonny Bridges.
On August 31, 2024, Aunt Margaret relocated back to
Atlanta, Georgia and she resided there until her health begin to fail. She waited patiently and silently while preparing her final stay in her last earthly home. It was Sunday, July 27th when she heard the voice of Jesus when he begins to call his Roll, she quickly answered to her name and hurriedly to move into her new Heavenly Home.
Margaret leaves to cherish one Son, Clinton Tomlin of New York; (2) Granddaughters – Dreana and Janelle Johnson of Philadelphia, PA; (3) Grandsons – Alex (Tony) Sessions, Leon Watson and Christopher Watson all of
Atlanta, GA; (10) Great-Grands Qyidreiah Johnson, Dominique Johnson and Danielle Johnson of Philadelphia, PA, Abreyanna (Taye) Sessions, Kiara Sessions, JaKyvia (Tookie) Middlebrooks, Dayla Bell, Sanaya Cody, Chrissie Mason, Alex A (TJ) Sessions, Jr. all of
Atlanta, GA; (5) Great-great Grands Mahlonni and Dynver Johnson of Philadelphia, PA; Kaiden Couch, Keshawn Allen, Kody Warner and Legend Pledger and one Great-Great Great Grand, Ahlina Sessions all of
Atlanta, GA; and one Daughter in Law, Willene Johnson, Philadelphia, PA. In addition, she also leaves a host of several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives, friends and the Antioch Baptist Church Family and Bethlehem #1 Missionary Baptist Church Family.
The Family is eternally grateful to LaKeshia Johnson of Covington, GA who extended her unwavering and unconditional love, care and support during Aunt Margaret's brief stay upon her return to Atlanta by opening her doors and provided a home to live until her demise. Everything LaKeisha has done has not gone unnoticed and we thank you. The Family also wishes to thank Catherine Peterson (Home Health Care Aide) of Myrtle Beach, SC of the Good Samaritan Home Health Agency for assisting the Family with the care and assistance that she so graciously provided to Aunt Margaret.
