Margaret Sue Shoemaker

Margaret Sue Cheek Shoemaker, age 76, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Friday, September 26, 2025.

Sue was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and faithful friend. She shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Ronny Shoemaker, and together they built a life centered on family, faith, and community.

She is survived by her children, Jenny (Tod) Miller and David (Nikki) Shoemaker; her beloved grandchildren, Cole, Layne, and Callie Shoemaker; her brothers, Robert (Barbara) Cheek and Ricky (Kim) Cheek; her sister, Hazel (Jimmy) Colachicco; and numerous nieces and nephews who adored her.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Lois Cheek, and her brothers Johnny, Wayne,
and Danny Cheek.

She was blessed with a strong church family at Mt. Caramel Church, and she deeply valued the support and friendships of her M&M Mars coworkers and friends. Her kindness, humor, and unwavering love touched all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of many.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered love, prayers, and support during this time. A special thanks goes to the staff at Bradley Medical Center Surgical ICU for the love and care they provided during her final days.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home - The Ridge Sanctuary with Pastor Jim Culpepper officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
