Margaret dedicated herself to being a housewife, taking immense joy in caring for her sons. She was the proud mother of Jacob "J.J." Smalts (Janette) of Houston, Texas, Christopher Smalts of Lubbock, Texas, and Brady Smalts (Jazmine) of Lubbock, Texas. Her granddaughter, Aria Smalts of Houston, Texas, brought her great happiness and she cherished every moment spent with her.

She found great joy in socializing and dining out, often sharing delightful meals and laughter with friends and family. Margaret also loved animals, raising many beloved cats and dogs during her life. Her time in the women’s Sunday school class was especially meaningful, allowing her to foster deep connections with her peers.
