Margaret Spires Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Dene Moore Spires, age 78, of Lewisburg, TN, died Monday, July 1, 2024. Born in Nashville, TN, Mrs. Spires was the daughter of the late Gene Franklin Moore and Mary Ruth Wright Moore. She was a retired delivery person in the floral business and was a member of The Lord’s House of Prayer in Lewisburg. Mrs. Margaret enjoyed talking and visiting with her friends. She loved her church family and especially loved her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Kay Upchurch and a brother, Phillip Franklin Moore.
Survived by her husband of 50 years, Thomas Spires of Lewisburg, TN; 3 daughters, Kelli (Christopher Bennett) Spires of Lafayette, TN, Mary Spires LeMay of Shelbyville, TN and April Denise Spires Judy of Columbia, SC; a son, Thomas A. Spires, Jr of Boone, NC; a brother, Gary Lee Moore of Lewisburg, TN; 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 4PM – 8PM with a Memorial Service at 7PM on Wednesday at Lawrence Funeral Home.
