Margaret (Peggy) J. Taylor, age 78 of Swedesboro NJ formerly of Philadelphia, PA passed away after a brief illness on September 25, 2025, at Inspira Medical Center, Mullica Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Taylor. Bob & Peggy were happily married for 49 yrs. She was the Beloved Mom of Shannon Dougherty (her husband Ray). Peggy will be sadly missed by her grand pups; Penny & Cooper, her Goddaughter Dawn Pagano, her Godson Michael Patterson, her "great great niece" Maggie Fitzgerald, her best friends Patti Markelwith & Anne Marie DiZio, her brother-in-law Carl Seeger (his wife Dawn), her nieces, nephews, cousins, her Nazareth friends, and all who knew her. Peggy was a cornerstone of her family, playing an integral role in raising her daughter. Her impact on Shannon's life was immeasurable, and her legacy will continue to thrive through the everyone she touched. In her earlier years, Peggy worked as a nurse, working at Nazareth Hospital for her entire career, retiring after over 50 years of dedicated service. She was also a compassionate caregiver to many, always ready to lend a helping hand and provide comfort to those in need. Her reliability and unwavering support made her a cherished friend to many. Outside of her work and caregiving, Peggy enjoyed life's simple pleasures. She had a passion for watching the Phillies. She enjoyed watching Grey's Anatomy, One Chicago's, Blue Bloods and many Netflix series with her daughter. She loved to decorate the inside and outside of her house for each holiday. She also enjoyed crocheting afghan blankets so if you were lucky enough to get one, please cherish it. One of her favorite things to do was to go to North Wildwood, NJ and spend time with her daughter, son-in-law, family and friends. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Her warm embraces, comforting words, and genuine smiles will forever be etched into the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Peggy's family requests you wear your favorite Phillies jersey, T-shirt, or hat to the viewing / service. Peggy loved her Phillies, and it would be an honor to her by doing so. Her Life Celebration will be held on Saturday; October 4th, at the Dean Geitner Givnish Life Celebration Home located at 7900 Oxford Avenue (entrance on Borbeck Ave), Philadelphia, PA 19111. Visitation will be held from 10AM to 11AM, with the funeral service to follow, commemorating her life and the cherished memories she created. Her Interment will be at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery - 1600 Sproul Road, Springfield, PA. 19064 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Peggy's name to Gwynedd Mercy University - 1325 Sumneytown Pike, Gwynedd Valley, PA 19437 Peggy's legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering support will continue to shine brightly through her family and all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
