Margaret A. "Peggy" Trifaro

Margaret A. "Peggy" Trifaro, 85, of Downingtown, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025 at her residence.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Peggy was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Rifenberg) Gallo. She was the beloved wife of Sam J. Trifaro. The couple shared almost 65 years of marriage.

Peggy had previously worked as the business manager for Sts. Philip & James Catholic Church, Exton, and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Downingtown. Prior to working for the churches, Peggy was employed as a retail merchandiser for General Mills, as well as an executive secretary for American Machine and Foundry. She was involved with Walking With Purpose.

Peggy enjoyed cooking, shopping, playing Mah Johng, and hosting parties and events for her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to spend time relaxing on the beach in Sea Isle City, as well as sewing and folk-art painting. Peggy was extremely family oriented. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Peggy is survived by her children: Margaret Vance of Pennsauken, NJ, Kristin Kerns (Kevin) of Glenmoore, PA, Bill Trifaro (Deanie) of Downingtown, PA, Ken Trifaro (Laurie) of Jeffersonville, PA, and Cathy Trifaro of Glenmoore, PA; grandchildren: Meg Vance (Ted), Shaun Vance, Connor Kerns (Peyton), Regan Kerns, Brian Trifaro, Sam Trifaro, Allie Trifaro, Jenna Trifaro, Katie Cutting, and Kara Cutting; great granddaughter: Lyla Kerns; sister: Cathy Dougherty (Tom); sister-in-law: Ginia Gallo.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her brother: Robert Gallo.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 9:30-10:45 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church: 332 Manor Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM at the church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.
