Margaret Mary Weyers ObituaryMargaret Mary Weyers ("Toots"). Passed peacefully Jan. 29th, 2021. Daughter of Frank C. and Margaret E. (Jennings) Weyers. The youngest of seven children. Dear sister of Bob (Louise Brummer) and the late Francis (Germaine), Thomas (Mary), Martin (Leonore), Margaret Elizabeth and Richard (Carol). Margaret Mary attended St. Matthias elementary school and Alvernia high school. Following her business education, Margaret pursued a professional career that began at County Mutual Casualty, through The Pullman Co., Swedish-American Line, Boeing Computer Services and Storage Technology Corp. She assumed the role of Administrative Assistant in various food services providers, culminating in 30 years with the Archdiocese of Chicago where she served until her unexpected passing in January of this year. Beloved "Aunt Tootsie" to a score of nieces and nephews, numerous grand-nieces, and nephews, and even great- grand-nieces and nephews, she will be remembered not only for her generosity, but also for her keen interest in their lives and well-being. She kept ties with them and countless friends through the years, often recounting her many crossings to Scandinavia, Ireland and England via the Queens Mary and Elizabeth and British Concorde when it was still in service. London was certainly her favorite home away from home. There, as here, she pursued her love for opera and the arts, and a refined and graceful way of life. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M on Wednesday, July 28, at St. Matthias Church, 2310 W. Ainslie St. in Chicago.
