Margaret Virginia Yow

Heaven opened its arms for Margaret Virginia Yow on November 12, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelton Yow and her son, Shelton Douglas Yow. She is survived by her three daughters, Rhonda Tracy of The Villages, Florida, Debra Forsha of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Ashley Horner, of Nashville, Tennessee. Her grandchildren include Shea Faugl, Erin Seale, Hiatt Wolfe, and Ivie Krum (Rhonda); Blake Yow, Tyler Yow, and Jared Yow (Douglas, dc); Megan Sala and Andrew Forsha (Debra); and Hadley Horner (Ashley). She has more than 30 great and great-great grandchildren; and brother, Robert Braddock.

Margaret Virginia was born in Society Hill, South Carolina on a country farm but valued education and family from a very young age. She was valedictorian of her high school class and well-read throughout her life, always keeping a nightstand of books by her bedside. Above all, her family was her life, regardless of how large it grew over the years. She instilled strong values in her children that permeated throughout her large family, who despite the distances that divided them would come together regularly to celebrate the "wonderful family" family she laid the foundation for through love and strength. Those values, family bonds, and traditions will live on as a tribute and celebration of her life.

Margaret Virginia was a woman of faith, and her family takes great comfort in knowing that she is with her Heavenly Father and will continue to guide them as they grow and strengthen in their own faith. A gentle touch, the song of a bird, the beauty of a flower, we will know she is speaking to us in our daily walks through life.

We know the bonds of family and love never leaves.
