Margaret Zollicker-Edwards Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home - Clinton on Dec. 4, 2025.
Margaret Alison "Meg" Zollicker-Edwards was a cherished member of her family and the Clinton community, remembered for her kindness, generosity, and an unwavering spirit.
Born November 16, 1964, in Clinton, Missouri, Meg was the youngest daughter of Thomas Marion "Slugger" and Irma Jean (Parks) Zollicker. Meg attended Central Missouri State University obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. In October of 1993, Meg married Glenn Alan Edwards, and together they built a life filled with joy and laughter. Of this union two children were born, Kathryn Elizabeth (Edwards) Hoppe and Scott Thomas Edwards.
Meg worked for Gig and Shirley Eberting at "Eberting's Gift's" during her high school years and college. After years of playing school with her sisters, Meg had always dreamed of becoming a teacher and wanted nothing more than to be in a classroom. She began her teaching career at Davis R-12 teaching 6-8 grades. Meg later taught at Holy Rosary Catholic School primarily teaching grades 7 and 8, as well as Math and Religion to various grades. Meg was a natural leader and held positions of Principal at both schools when needed. She was committed to her students and was the go-to teacher when students needed help understanding Algebra. Students often let her know how much she helped them prepare for high school Math.
Along with teaching, Meg also worked in the family business. After Slugger passed in 1997, she and Irma ran a successful business until Irma passed in 2022, and Meg's health led her to step down. She had a head for business and numbers.
Meg will be remembered for her willingness to listen, her stubbornness and love of a good argument. She touched countless lives and was known for her thoughtful notes. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Meg is preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by her husband Alan of the home, children, Kathryn and Mark Hoppe, Scott Edwards and fiancé Danielle Blevins. Meg was blessed with three granddaughters, Elenor Kate and Blakely Alison Hoppe and Hayven Jean Edwards. Her sisters Martha McKee and Marilyn Gunter (Tom), sister and brother in-law Jeff and Glenna Smith, eight nieces and nephews, seven great-nieces and nephews and a host of loving relatives and friends.
Prayer Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2025 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be in Parks Chapel Cemetery, Tightwad, MO. Condolences may be left online at www.bradleyhadley.com. The family requests donations be made to Holy Rosary Catholic School, honoring Meg's commitment to helping others. These donations may be left in care of the funeral home.
Meg will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
