Margarita was born in Llera, Tamaulipas, Mexico on July 20, 1939 to Maria Castro.
Survivors include her sons and daughters, Ismael Martinez (Norma) of Monterrey, Mexico; Hector Martinez (Rocio) of Salina, Kansas; Sandra Martinez Moreno of Salina, Kansas; Olga Calzada (Gumaro) of Salina, Kansas; Pedro Martinez (Andrea) of Monterrey, Mexico; and Nelly Martinez (Gustavo Moya) of Salina, Kansas.
Grandchildren, Paola, Ivan, Brian, Alex, Juanito, Stephanie, Kassandra, Anthony, Rodrigo, Gumaro Jr., Abram, Omar, Edgar, Arely, Misael, Sebastian, Jenifer, and Gustavo.
She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Espiridion Martinez; and her son, Juan Martinez.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, with a rosary service following at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 22, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina, Kansas.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 23, at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Burial will later take place at Panteon Tepeyac in Monterrey, Mexico.

Margarita nació en Llera, Tamaulipas, México el 20 de julio de 1939, hija de María Castro.
Le sobreviven sus hijos e hijas, Ismael Martínez (Norma) de Monterrey, México; Héctor Martínez (Rocío) de Salina, Kansas; Sandra Martínez Moreno de Salina, Kansas; Olga Calzada (Gumaro) de Salina, Kansas; Pedro Martínez (Andrea) de Monterrey, México; y Nelly Martínez (Gustavo Moya) de Salina, Kansas; nietos, Paola, Iván, Brian, Alex, Juanito, Stephanie, Kassandra, Anthony, Rodrigo, Gumaro Jr., Abram, Omar, Edgar, Arely, Misael, Sebastián, Jenifer y Gustavo.
También le sobreviven 13 bisnietos.
Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo, Espiridión Martínez, y su hijo, Juan Martínez.
El velatorio se realizará de 17:00 a 19:00 h, seguido del rosario a las 19:00 h, el martes 22 de abril, en la Catedral del Sagrado Corazón de Salina, Kansas.
La misa de entierro cristiano se celebrará a las 10:00 h, el miércoles 23 de abril, en la Catedral del Sagrado Corazón.
El entierro se llevará a cabo posteriormente en el Panteón Tepeyac de Monterrey, México.
