Margery L. Henderson 92, of Centerville, Indiana, passed peacefully to be reunited with loved ones on Friday evening November 7, 2025, at home surrounded by family. Blessed to have had so many wonderful years together, she leaves a wealth of family and friends with memories of love and laughter. She was born in Rushville, Indiana on April 30, 1933, to Leslie and Margaret (Dickinson) Drennen, the youngest of three children. She grew up in the Rush and Fayette County areas and graduated from Bentonville High School in 1952. After high school, she worked at Doll's Market in Dublin. In 1955, she married Carl D. Henderson, Jr. from Cambridge City and settled in the Henry/Wayne County area to farm. She was a longtime member of the Abington Christian Church.
In 1963, they moved to the homestead farm on Creek Road where they raised six children, over twenty grandchildren, and over fifty great and great-great grandchildren. Truly a living legacy beginning with son, David (Linda) Henderson of Glenwood; daughters, Nancy (Farrell) Keith of Everton, Debbie (Bret) Lucas of Centerville, Kathy (Tom) Willhelm of Straughn; sons, Rodney (Loretta) Henderson of Glenwood, Danny (Teresa) Henderson of Greenfield.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Carl; their son, Darrell; grandson, Kyle; great grandson, Wyatt; sister and brother in-law, Vivian (Robert) Noah; brother and sister-in-law, Richard (Reola) Drennen; best friend, Mary Westover.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday November 15, 2025 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Rev. Bud Parrish of the Abington Christian Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. on Friday November 14th.
