Margie Lee Frady Crisp, 97, of Marion, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Mission Hospital McDowell.
She was born in Franklin, North Carolina on October 20, 1927 to the late Paul Frady and Bessie Tyler Frady.
Throughout her years, Margie briefly worked at Parker's Hosiery Mill but spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was known for the great care she took in nurturing her home and family. Margie was the rock of her family, providing strength and stability through her unwavering dedication and love. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. A woman of many interests, Margie had a deep passion for gardening and working with flowers. She enjoyed reading and working puzzles. Margie also was a very creative and talented artist. She shared a special bond with her beloved cat, Fluff, who brought her much comfort and companionship. She will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard T. Crisp; her son, Dicky Crisp; one grandson, Keith Crisp; and two siblings, Louise Reel and Earl Stevenson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter-in-law, Susan Crisp; three grandchildren, Paul Crisp (Tammy), Jennifer Snyder (Chris), and Kelly Crisp (Jessica); six great-grandchildren, Alana (Casee), Allie (Trey), Katie, Cameron (Tyla), Jaime (Robert), and Julie (Cooper); and five great-great-grandchildren, Sadie, Denver, Kendall, Charlotte, and Denver.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Beam Funeral Service. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
