Margie L. Edwards, age 87 of Higginsville, Missouri died on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville. Born Monday, May 5, 1924 in Mindenmines, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Ora Oliver Hilton and the late Mary L. (Maxwell) Hilton. She married Frank J. Edwards May 31, 1955. He preceded her in death January 14, 2006. Also preceded in death are a daughter, Caran Kay Welpman; and three sisters, Catharyn Harbson, Ruth Steward and Marlene Coats. Margie has lived in Higginsville since 1958 and was a bookkeeper at Ace Radio Control in Higginsville until her retirement. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Higginsville. Surviving are one son, Fronz C. Edwards of Cameron, Missouri; and one grandchild, Mona P. Edwards. There are no services planned as per her request. Inurnment will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
