Margie Myrtle Helms, 89, of Indian Trail, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024 at her home.
Margie was born April 26, 1935 in South Carolina to the late Herbert Edward Brazzill and the late Amanda Jane Brazzill.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Hugh Mac Helms, daughter, Vickie Simpson, granddaughter Melinda Simpson, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
Margie enjoyed going to yard sales and tending to her flower garden. She also collected many baby dolls.
The family will receive friends from 10 am- 10:45 am on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will follow at 11am at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland officiated by Pastor Steve Hicks. Burial will follow at the Charlotte Memorial Gardens at 7632 Hood Road, Charlotte.
Survivors include daughter, Patricia (Michael) Waters of Norwood, NC, sons, Larry Mac Helms, Sr. of Fairview, NC, Jerry (Lupe) Helms of Charlotte, NC, and Lee (Becky) Brazzill of Monroe, 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and brother Phillip Brazzill of SC.
