Margie Pfirman, 65 of Nocona, was born on July 3, 1958 in Wichita Falls and passed away peacefully on June 25, 2024 in Nocona.
Margie was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness and infectious spirit. She never knew a stranger and she left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had an infectious smile and bubbly personality that brought pure joy into any room she entered. Throughout her life she grew to love cooking and writing, and she developed a lifelong passion for rescuing dogs.
Margie loved spending time with her family. In her youth, her most precious memories included family camping trips. She wasn't crazy about the outdoors, but she loved the time with her family. In adulthood, she delighted in her nephews and their families. They were her greatest pride!
As for her own achievements, her proudest day was when she graduated from college. Margie earned a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's Degree in Creative Writing. Margie worked as a medical transcriptionist, but her true joy was in writing. She wrote three children's books, delighting young readers with her imaginative stories. Margie was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Keller, TX. She was very spiritual and deeply devoted to God and her faith.
She is survived by her brother Thomas Pfirman, her sister Sarah Pfirman Jordan, and her cherished nephews and their families: Jerry McLamore (wife Brittany and son Jaxson), Hunter McLamore (wife Misty, children Sierra, Hunter Jr., and Autumn), and Eugene McLamore (wife Jennifer, children Bryson, Gracie, and Macie). Margie's family meant the world to her, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and joys.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Mary Pfirman. Their memory and the love they shared as a family provided her with a foundation of strength and compassion that she carried throughout her life.
The family will host a Celebration of Margie's Life on Saturday, June 29, at 3:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church in Nocona with Rev. Patrick Hill officiating. The family will receive visitors at 2:00 PM at the church, immediately preceding the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Margie's memory to Lucky Paws Animal Shelter in Nocona, TX.
Margie's family would like to thank Grace Care Center, Nocona General Hospital and Dr. Kelly Roden for the wonderful care she received.
Margie will be remembered for her warm heart, her love for her family, the joy that bubbled up from her heart, and her bright smile. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Now her beautiful soul has been returned to her mom and dad, and is rejoicing in the presence of Jesus.
