Marjorie McLaughlin Smoak departed from her earthly home, May 12, 2024 surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Bobby Smoak. She is survived by daughter Bobbie Ann Todd (Donnie) and son, Walter H. (Bobo) Smoak Jr. (Paulette), grandchildren Candice Dowd (Mickey) and Danielle Merritt (Donny), great grandson Miles Henry Dowd and many loving nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
Margie retired from Commercial Credit of Lumberton after 40 years of service. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved being a farmer’s wife. The love she had for her family was apparent in her daily life and will be passed on for generations to come. Margie was the epitome of a true lady. She will be missed more than words can say. She was the matriarch of our family. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 -2:45 pm on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the Bethel Baptist Church in Dublin followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm with the Reverend Warren Hill officiating. A burial will follow the services in the Allen Cemetery in Dublin.
