Margie Ann Tivet, age 69, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 6, 2026. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, February 13, 2026 beginning at 9:30 a.m. followed by a memorial mass at 11:00 a.m.
Margie is survived by her sons: Jude J. Nilsson and wife, Katherine (Andrew, Carmella, and Clara); Ronnie D. Thormas, Jr. and wife, Emily (Aubrey and Camden); Keith T. Tivet and fiancé, Jenni Pellegrin (Karsyn); and daughter, Shena T. Lirette and husband, Jonathan (Brynlei, Brextyn, Juliet, and Jessa).
Margie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Michael Joseph Tivet; her grandson, David Camden Thormas; her parents Russel Junius Brunet and Leona Dupre Brunet; and her sister, Loraine Brunet.
She enjoyed creating arts and crafts and spending time with her Senior Group, her family, and her friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandma. She will be greatly missed by all whose hearts she touched.
