Margie Varnum Obituary
Mrs. Margie Varnum, 79, of Ellaville, passed away on May 2, 2025. Memorial services will be held in the chapel of Way-Watson Funeral Home on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 5:00 PM with Rev. Joel Smith officiating.
Mrs. Varnum was born June 4, 1945, in Boaz, AL to Floyd Patrick and Virgie Jeffries Drake. In her earlier years, she enjoyed playing BINGO and always enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Virginia Bailey and her siblings, Louise Avery, Ray Drake, Onzell Pritchard, Helen Drake, and Kenneth Drake.
Survivors include her grandsons, Justin Bailey (Lacy) and Blake Bailey (Clint Tyson); two great-grandchildren, Katelyn & Madyson Bailey; a brother, Charles Drake; three sisters, Doris Clanton, Magaleen Clanton and Ann Tomlinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
