Speaks Suburban ChapelMargo LaVonne Mayfield, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on February 12, 2026, in Independence, Missouri, at the age of 80. Margo was born on August 17, 1945, in Boone, Iowa, to John and Iris (Tracy) Parcel.
Margo graduated from Boone High School and briefly pursued higher education, aspiring to work in a pharmacy. However, her professional journey led her to Phillips 66, where she dedicated many years as a manager, reflecting her commitment to hard work and determination.
As a proud, hardworking single mother of four, Margo's greatest joy came from her family. Sundays were particularly special as she gathered with her children and family after church for lunch, creating memories filled with love, laughter, and togetherness. Margo was known not only for her stubborn and caring nature but also for her selflessness, always putting the needs of others before her own.
Margo enjoyed league bowling and looked forward to the warmth and magic of Christmas each year. Known for her delicious pies, Margo often shared her creations, especially her crocheted blankets for friends and family, showcasing her thoughtful spirit. She often spoke of her childhood. The memories of fishing and riding a Harley with her father remained close to her heart, illustrating her adventurous side and the deep bonds she cherished throughout her life.
