Maria Guadalupe "Lupita" Aguilar

1952 - 2025

Brownsville - Guadalupe Maria Aguilar Lupita (Gutierrez) 72, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest peacefully at home on August 5, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Jose Manuel Aguilar Sr.; her children: Jose Manuel Aguilar Jr. (Diana), Ricardo Aguilar (Christie), and Nora Lanier (Christopher); her cherished grandchildren: Ximena and Celeste Aguilar, Sophia and Charlotte Lanier and siblings: Alfonso (Perla), Berta (Timothy), Reynaldo (Adelfa), Maggie, and Mark (Teresa); as well as many beloved nieces and nephews who loved her like a second mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maria del Refugio and Alfonso Gutierrez; her mother-in-law, Oralia De La Garza; and her precious triplet granddaughters, Georgia Marie, Claire Delani, and Zada Jane Lanier. Lupita loved crossword puzzles, travel, and new experiences, but most of all, she treasured time with family. She was a pillar of strength and comfort to all who knew her. Per her wishes, no services were held.
