She was educated at the Farasita School and remained in the area all her life. With all the fun activities she eventually met Manual her future husband and farmed in the Gardner area, where she loved her farm animals and taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Solomon and Rebecca Peralta., her husband, Manual Archuleta, and her son Leonard Aguirre. Her brothers, Saul, Gato, Ben, Ricardo and her sisters, Cora and Ernestine.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory a sister, Viola Cardinas, her children Joey, Rose, Bobby and Jimmy. She had 10 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren; special friend Donna Peirce-Ticken and caretakers, Leroy, Betty and Connie Smith.
Services will be held this Saturday, July 15, 10:00 a.m. at Gardner Cemetery located on Highway 69, mile marker 22. A reception will follow immediately at the Gardner Community Center. Please come for food and fellowship to honor Maria's memory. Arrangements made by Boies-Ortega Funeral Home.
