Maria Broccolo Obituary

Maria C. (Aiello) Broccolo

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria C. (Aiello) Broccolo of Bradford, RI a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who passed away on September 8, 2024 at the age of 91. Marias remarkable life was a testament to love, resilience, and boundless generosity. She was surrounded by her family in her final moments, and her legacy will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Maria was born on July 24, 1933 in Acri, Italy to the late Antonio Salvatore Aiello and

Immacolata (Falco) Aiello. She immigrated to the United States on March 17, 1955 where she went on to build a successful life with her beloved husband, Angelo Broccolo. Together they had

two children, John Vincent Broccolo and Robert James Broccolo Sr.

Maria worked at Darlington Fabrics for over 35 years, where she specialized in textile work. Additionally, she was skilled in high-end upholstery, completing projects both professionally and for family and friends. Maria achieved success by building a real estate empire with her son Robert. She took great pride and found immense joy in gardening and mushrooming with her son John. She enjoyed cooking, making soupy, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved traveling back to Italy in the summers to visit family. A long-time devoted parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Church, Maria's faith and commit

ment to her parish were integral to her life. Her spiritual dedication and kindness will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Maria was predeceased by her husband, Angelo Broccolo; her brother, Vincenzo Servidio of Italy; and her granddaughter, Christy Ferraro. Marias memory will be lovingly carried on by her children, John Broccolo (Donna) and Robert Broccolo Sr. (Dorothy). She is also survived by her sisters, Francesca Nigro of Westerly and Adelina Servidio of Italy, as well as her brother, Pierino Pignataro. Maria's legacy extends to her grandchildren, Jacqueline Broccolo; Jamie Piwonski (Daniel); Jodie Broccolo; John Broccolo (Bridget); Robert Broccolo Jr. (Tiffani); Rachael Broccolo (Bobby Vongvixay); Rebecca Broccolo; along with her great-grandchildren Emilia, Elaina, William, Isabella, Robert III, Giovanni, Aubriella, Adrian, Arianna, Brian, and Nicholas. She will also be missed by close family, Lois Antoch and Sandy Bliven, as well as several nieces and nephews. Each of them holds precious memories of her, which will continue to inspire and comfort them.

Maria's spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched. Though we grieve her passing, we find solace in the memories of her laughter, the lessons she imparted, and the enduring love she shared. She will be dearly missed, but her light will continue to guide us.
