Maria Lisa Burke, age 68, of Lopez, PA, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, with her loving family at her side. Lisa was born on January 30, 1957, in Lopez, the daughter of the late John E. and Ann Sysock Serafini.
She graduated from the Sullivan County High School, a member of the class of 1974. She married Bob Burke on June 19, 1976, but they knew each other their whole lives, living across the street from one another growing up.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. The most important thing to Lisa was her relationship with the Lord and her family. She was a selfless wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother who gave her time unconditionally to everyone she cared for. Lisa loved being around her extended family, of which there are many, and always enjoyed visits andtalking about growing up.
Her passions were archery, hunting, being outdoors, riding four wheelers, and her side-by-side with her husband. She enjoyed spending time doing wood-working projects, being in her outdoor flower garden, taking rides with her brother, and going to the beach. The more time she spent out in the sun the better.
She was an avid collector of the Looney Tunes character Tweety Bird and went to the Warner Bros. store every time she went on the boardwalk in New Jersey. She was a beautiful person on the inside and out and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
