Maria Sara Cardona

Maria Sara Rios Cardona, 82, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by family, Thursday, February 17, 2011. Mrs. Cardona was born August 30, 1928 in Guanajuato, Mexico and had been a resident of Greenfield for over 41 years. She greatly enjoyed cooking, taking care of her many pets, and gardening. Her passion was spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Raquel Cardona of Arkansas, Maria Luisa Cardona of Greenfield, Maria Irma (Arturo) Pacheco of Greenfield, Abel Cardona of Arkansas, Juan Cardona of Texas, Saul (Maria Elena) Cardona of Greenfield, Rosa Maria (Juan) Andrade of Greenfield, Enrique Cardona of Salinas; 37 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Juan Cardona in 2010, and grandson, Abel Cardona in 2007.
