Maria Del Carmen Cavazos

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Del Carmen Cavazos, born in Mission, Texas to Antonio V. Martinez and Antonia Solis on February 19, 1951, and called home on November 9, 2025, in McAllen, Texas. Leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness. Maria was a cherished daughter, wife, mother and sibling. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, and her siblings, Maria Delurdez Garza and Gregorio S. Martinez. She survived by her husband Rafael Cavazos, her children: Celina Cavazos (Jae Liscano) and Rafael Cavazos Jr. Also leaving behind three siblings: Juanita Martinez, Antonio Martienz Jr. and Jose Israel Martinez (Sylvia). Maria's spirit will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. She leaves behind a loving family who will hold her memories close in their hearts. A memorial service will be held on Friday November 14, 2025 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm with a rosary reciting from 11:00 am at Virgil Wilson Mortuary in Mission, Texas. The family wishes to thank everyone for their support and love during this difficult time.
