María Teresa Gómez Cordero nació el 30 de septiembre de 1944 en Montevideo, Uruguay, hija de Voltaire Gómez Grossi y Elva Haydee Cordero. Falleció en paz el 13 de febrero de 2026 en Iowa City.

Teresa se casó en Uruguay con Washington Beltrán, y juntos fueron bendecidos con tres hijos: Jorge Beltrán (Fallecido), Richard Beltrán de Florida y Karina Beltrán de Iowa.

Teresa se mudó a los Estados Unidos en 1999 y estableció su hogar en Minnesota durante muchos años, antes de trasladarse posteriormente a West Liberty, Iowa.

Fue una abuela amorosa y dedicada de siete nietos: Nico Sosa-Beltrán, Marcelo Sosa-Beltrán, Alana Beltrán, Matías Beltrán, Emiliano Beltrán, Bryan Beltrán y Richard Jr. Everett Beltran.

Sus nietos fueron una gran alegría en su vida, y los amó profundamente a cada uno de ellos.

Teresa tuvo muchos amigos, los amó prerfundamente a todos, y ellos le dieron un gran sentido a su vida.

Ella vivió una vida plena y significativa. Tenía un profundo amor por la cocina y la costura, y se desempeñó como una talentosa costurera de profesión. Se sentía orgullosa de su trabajo. María Teresa Gómez Cordero was born on September 30, 1944, in Montevideo, Uruguay, to Voltaire Gómez Grossi and Elva Haydee Cordero. She passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, in Iowa City.

Teresa was married in Uruguay to Washington Beltrán, and together they were blessed with three children: Jorge Beltrán (who preceded her in death), Richard Beltrán of Florida, and Karina Beltrán of Iowa.

Teresa moved to the United States in 1999 and made Minnesota her home for many years before later moving to West Liberty, Iowa.

She was a loving and devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren: Nico Sosa-Beltrán, Marcelo Sosa-Beltrán, Alana Beltrán, Matías Beltrán, Emiliano Beltrán, Bryan Beltrán, and Richard Jr. Everett Beltrán.

Her grandchildren were a great joy in her life, and she cherished each of them deeply.

Teresa had many friends, and countless others whose hearts she touched along the way. She loved them deeply, and they gave her life great meaning.

Teresa lived a full and meaningful life. She had a deep love for cooking and sewing and was a talented seamstress by trade. She took pride in her work. Teresa also loved to travel and was known for taking spontaneous trips with her family and friends, creating cherished memories wherever she went.

Teresa will be remembered for her strength, warmth, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Voltaire Gómez Grossi and Elva Haydee Cordero, husband Washington Beltrán and by her son, Jorge Beltrán.
