Maria Sanchez Obituary

Maria "Kuki" Sanchez, my mom, lived a very happy life, we had some very bad health hardships, from kidney failure, heart failure, breast cancer and of course mom and son always have their disagreements or arguments but at the end of the day I never slept being mad at my mom nor my mom being mad at me. my mom every day would have a smile on her face, tell me she loved me, tell me what she wants me to do with my life and we traveled, we loved going out to eat, she met her grandkids in JJ and Maximo,, she met the love of my life Lily, I have loved every conversation and stories that I had with her from her early days in living with 7 brothers my grandma and grandpa, being a little rebel and living on her own and working at piedras negras, to moving to Houston to finding out she was pregnant at age 35 to having me at age 36, to living by herself and being a single working mother, to working three jobs till age 55 to flying on an airplane for the first time to meeting new cities every year, to visiting her Pueblo in Mexico after 25 years, fighting every single day of her life. My mom was and is a warrior.

My mom gave me her stubbornness, her strength in always pulling myself up when i am down, to being a hard worker to sharing a smile no matter what negativity is currently happening in my life to always finding a solution to my problems. All the happy moments we had, I will cherish forever and I hope you remember the memories you had with my mother as well and I would also love to hear those memories. Cherish them, my mom was all positivity, hard working, Her legacy lives on in the lessons she taught me - to love without conditions, to keep faith even in hard times, and to find joy in life's simple moments.

Though she is no longer with us physically, my mother's love will forever be in our hearts. Today, as we celebrate her life, let's remember that she would want us to continue living with love, laughter, and strength. As I always told her and my family, I never like to say bye and I never told my mom bye,, I always and will always say, see you later ama.
