Maria Clementina DiLullo

Maria Clementina DiLullo, 86, of Torrington, CT, passed away peacefully at Charlotte Hungerford hospital on Thursday, February 1, 2024. She was the wife of the late Joseph DiLullo.
Maria was born September 9, 1937, in Montebello, Sul Sangro, formerly known as Buonanotta, Italy, the daughter of the late Celestino and Blanda (Giampaolo) DiLullo. She was a resident of the Torrington community for over 60 years. Together with her husband Joseph, brother Michael, and sister-in-law Fiorita, they owned the Venetian Restaurant for over 20 years.
When Maria wasn't working, she enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren, gardening, and cooking. She was known for her delicious pizzelle cookies and pasta dishes that she lovingly shared with family and friends.
She is survived by one son, Michael DiLullo, and his wife Laura, of Farmington, CT; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Christopher, sister-in-law Fiorita; two nieces Marilena and Mara DiLullo and two nephews, Enzo and Celestino DiLullo. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ciriaco and Michele DiLullo.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, with the cortege leaving at 11:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, (St. John Paul the Great Parish) 99 East Main St., Torrington, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon. Entombment will follow at St. Peter Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Connecticut.
