Maria Douvas Obituary
Born in Likotinarea, Greece, Mrs. Douvas came to the US in 1968 settling in Highland Park, moving to Queens, NY and returning to Edison, NJ for the past 56 years.
Mrs. Douvas was a long- time member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Piscataway. She also was involved in many of the church's functions.
Predeceased by her husband John Douvas 2017 and her grandchild, Kaylee.
Surviving are her son John (Lauren) Douvas; her step children Paul (Karen) Douvas, and Tina (Roy) Grubb; two brothers George & Gus Kourkounakis; five sisters Nikki Kopanakis, Evridicki Eleftheriou, Eleni Papadakis, Ioanna Manolakis and Hariklia Manolakis; six grandchildren Zoey, Chloe, Elijah, Sarathena, Caden and Callie.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 30th, 2024 at St, George Greek Orthodox Chruch1101 River Road, Piscataway between10:00am and 11:00am, followed by a 11:00am service. Interment will follow at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick.
