Maria was my classmate from first grade through graduation at Elmer A. Wolfe. We were a small class and were more like "family". We worked together on the school newspaper and yearbook and had lots of fun at our proms. I have a fond memory of being with our classmates at Maria and Ike's home for a mini-reunion! What fun! And how gracious Maria was to always want us all to be together. Rest easy, my friend, and know how loved you were by so many!

Tootsie was an awesome neighbor for several years while we lived in Keymar. We enjoyed drinking our homemade wines together and so many fun evening´s full of lots of laughs. Although I did not know Tootsie for a long time, she will be missed and in my memories forever.

Tootsie surely was a wonderful beautiful Lady. I never saw her without a smile. She loved her family so much. The world was a more beautiful place with her presence. I´m so very sorry for your loss. You´re all in my thoughts and prayers.

My condolences to Ike, Gary and the rest of Maria's family. Beautiful people all ...
Maria and I go back a long way ... all the way to the first grade at Elmer A. Wolfe elementary school. My first memory of Maria was for some reason or other chatting with her at our table ... when Miss Riser, our teacher, came over and grabbed me by the shoulders. She pulled me out of my chair ... and it was shake, shake, shake ... all around the room. Maria? Nothing happened to her. So ... my introduction to girls was ... I guess ... don't speak to them in the classroom ... and later in life ... respect them to the utmost ... which I did.
Maria and I remained friends forever ... through 12 years of school ... and all those years of "life" thereafter.
Maria got a good man in Ike. He was good for her ... and she was good for him. A perfect pair. Congratulations Ike for a lifetime of being there for Maria ...
I could say more ... but I can't see through the tears ...
Bye bye Maria ...
Cheers!
