Maria Guadalupe Gonzales, 58, of San Antonio, formerly of Uvalde passed away on January 17, 2024, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 2 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary
She was born on May 21, 1965, in Eagle Pass, Texas to Bertha (Guajardo) and Doroteo Flores.
She is survived by her mother, Bertha Flores of Uvalde; two sons, Emmanuel Gonzales of Uvalde and Ricardo Gonzales and wife, Taja of Houston; two sisters, Martha Gonzales and husband, Francisco of Uvalde and Rosario Mendez and husband, Alfredo of San Antonio; four brothers, Ricardo Flores and wife, Esther of San Antonio, Federico Flores of Oklahoma, Daniel Flores and Jesus Flores and wife, Cynthia all of Uvalde; six grandchildren, Jeremiah Gonzales, John Ray Rodriguez, Zachariah Gonzales, Isiah Gonzales, Christian Gonzales, and Neveah Gonzales; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father; and two brothers, Oscar Flores and David Flores.
Pallbearers will be Emmanuel Gonzales, Ricardo Gonzales, Brian Flores, Matthew Morin, Alfredo Mendez, and Fernando Gonzales.
