Maria Krozel

Maria Krozel, age 93, was the daughter of Ludwik Solarczyk and Aniela Zych. Born and raised in Wróblówka, Poland, Maria later immigrated to the United States to build a better future for her family and generations to come. She became a longtime resident of Chicago, Illinois.
Maria was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Bronislaw, with whom she shared 35 beautiful years of marriage. She passed away peacefully at her home on January 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her brother, Jan Solarczyk.
She is also survived by her loving children, Anna, Stella, and Celina, and was preceded in death by her son, Teofil. Her cherished grandchildren Marcin, Agnieszka, Mark, Daniel, Matthew, Marta, Ricky, and Monica, and her adored great-grandchildren Emma, Dawid, Kevin, and Zuzia.
She was a devoted member of St. Helen Catholic Church, where her faith guided her throughout her life.
Maria will be remembered as a beloved, caring, and devoted babcia, whose strength, faith, and love for her family touched all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 3–8 p.m. at Muzyka & Son Funeral Home, 5776 W. Lawrence Ave., Chicago. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2315 W. Augusta Blvd., followed by burial at Maryhill Cemetery, 8600 N.
