Maria B. Lesiak

Maria B. Lesiak of Huntley, IL, born February 2, 1943, passed away on September 23, 2025 at the age of 82. Maria was born in Iran during World War 2. Her family immigrated to the United States in 1955. She married her first love, Andy Ceglarek, and they had four children. After the death of Andy, she remarried to Marian "Lee" Lesiak. They retired to Huntley, IL and became parishioners of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Maria was involved in many ministries at the church, including Rosary Ministry, Homebound Ministry, and Food for the Funerals at church. She was known and loved by many in her community and always willing to help whenever and wherever she could. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Paul Dyrda, her husbands, Andy Ceglarek and Marian "Lee" Lesiak, and her first born son, Joseph. Maria is survived by her sister, Lucia (Armen) Youkhana and their children, her children, Catherine Dugan, Andrew (Debbie) Ceglarek, and Missy (Bill) Payne, her grandchildren Angela (Richard) Dugan-Starr, Paul (Marilla) Dugan, Becca (Andrew) Sibenaller, Libby (Preston) Harcrow, Timothy (Catherine) Dugan, Taylor Ceglarek, Joe Payne and Angela Zart and children, and was affectionately known as Busia to her great-grandchildren Nicholas Dugan-Starr, Bennett Sibenaller, and Rose Dugan-Starr.
There will be a visitation on Sunday, September 28th from 4-7pm at DeFiore Funeral Home in Huntley, IL. The Funeral Mass will be on Monday, September 29th at 10am with a visitation one hour prior at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Huntley, IL.
