Frank Joseph Lesiak, (“Butch”) of Tinley Park, IL formerly of Frankfort passed away peacefully on Aug. 26, 2025.
Loving father to Brian (Tracy), Karen and Eric. Former spouse and friend to Claudette (Kowalski), loving Brother-in-law to Arlene (Don), Ike (Dr Christine) Kowalski, Don (Sandi) Kowalski and Leticia (Ken) Losurdo. Will be remembered by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Born to Julia (Kozub) and Frank M Lesiak previously deceased. Also previously deceased are brothers and sister: Norbert (Helen), Barbara (Jerry) Burke and Donald.
Born in Chicago March 17, 1938. Previously served at St. Bruno Church as usher and past president Holy Name Society. He Moved to Frankfort in 1978 and became active in the committee for fund raising to help build the current St. Anthony Church. Frank was a past president of Holy Name Society. He served in the Army and discharged in 1963
Frank retired from Bank of America (formerly Continental Bank) after many years as a loan officer. He was also an active member of the American Legion Post 991 in Worth, IL. Also help serve in Sertoma Organization.
Frank loved sports, especially golf, fishing, and bowling where he bowled 2 perfect 300 games. As a youth he was a great baseball player. His dream was to make it to the Big Leagues. Unfortunately, timing wasn't right. He was a beloved fan of the Cubs, Bears and Blackhawks. He sometimes wished he could be the umpire or coach to run the teams better.
Celebration of life service will be held on October 18, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church 7659 West Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL. Gathering will start at 9:00am with Mass of Christian burial to follow promptly at 10:00am. In Lieu of flowers, please send prayers to the family.
