Maria Maldonado Obituary
Maria C. Maldonado, 94 years old, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024.
Maria C. Maldonado was born in El Paso, TX on April 7, 1930. She attended Zavala Elementary School and worked at Woolworth Retail Company in downtown El Paso where she would later marry the love of her life, Francisco T. Maldonado, on June 6, 1947.
Maria lived a fulfilled life and enjoyed knitting, bowling, baking, music and dancing, but most of all – being a housewife and mother to her five children.
Maria is preceded in death by her beloved husband Francisco T. Maldonado of 65 years (1925-2012). She leaves behind four daughters: Altagracia “Grace” Garcia (Edwardo), Patricia “Patty” Tabullo (Javier), Mary Garcia (Patrick), and Ruth Anne Herrera (Mando), and a son Francisco “Frank” Maldonado Jr. (Lily) along with 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a Rosary at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 14, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will follow at 12:30 PM at Little Flower Catholic Church, 171 Polo Inn, with Interment at 2:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson.
