Maria Theresa Marquez
A Life of Faith, Love, and Vibrancy
Maria Theresa Marquez, affectionately known as Theresa, was born at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas, and graced the world for 57 years with love, kindness, and unwavering faith. She was a proud alumna of Peabody Elementary, LV Stockard Middle School, and Sunset High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and a deep-rooted connection to her community.
Theresa's devotion to her faith was at the heart of her life. She served as a Eucharistic Minister at The National Shrine Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Downtown Dallas, where she also found fellowship in the singles group. Also as a dedicated parishioner of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, she carried her love for God in all that she did, touching countless lives with her warmth and compassion.
Beyond her faith, Theresa was a woman of immense love, especially for her family, Pac-Man and coin collecting. She embraced her role as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother figure, sister-in-law, and friend with boundless affection. Her presence was larger than life-funny, outgoing, outspoken, unfiltered, colorful, and always fashionable. She had a magnetic personality that drew people in, bringing joy, laughter, and a bit of sass to every gathering.
With a heart for caregiving, Theresa provided loving care to a disabled patient and was a devoted sister and guardian to Maria Alicia Marquez-Caltzonzin, ensuring her sister's well-being with selfless love.
Throughout her life, Theresa worked in various roles, each a testament to her hardworking spirit and dedication. From her time at Hot Potato in the West End, Macy's, Sears, Wackenhut Services (later G4S), The Nasher Sculpture Center, Victoria's Secret, Sunrise, to her work at Amazon, she left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.
Theresa lived a life full of love, faith, and an unapologetic zest for life-a true child of God who embodied kindness, humor, and service to others.
She is now reunited in eternal peace with our beloved parents, Feliciano P. Marquez and Juana Ramos Marquez, and our dear sisters Mercedes Marquez-Roman and Maria Alicia Marquez-Caltzonzin.
Theresa's legacy of love lives on in the hearts of her surviving siblings: Rafael Marquez, Maria Del Rosario Marquez-Graily, Maria Elena Marquez-Negrete, Maria Jesusa Marquez-Aldana, and Maria Juana Marquez-Soto, as well as her many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Though she has departed from this world, Theresa's vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and deep love for her family will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and adored her. May she rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love of God.

I met Maria at Amazon and I will miss her. She had the kindest spirit and would always tell me stories about her old jobs and loving family. Again Marie you will be missed, but I know you're in a better place
