Alfonso M. Marquez, 66, of Pecos, Texas, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, in El Paso, Texas.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 9:00am to 9:00pm at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home with Rosary held at 7:00pm.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, February 13, 2026, at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church at 10:00am with burial to follow at Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Pecos, Texas.
Alfonso M. Marquez was born in Pecos, Texas to Daniel S. Marquez and Bonifacia M. Marquez on July 16, 1959. He graduated from Pecos High School and attended Sweetwater Technical College. Alfonso used his college degree to take on a career in IT and worked for Lockheed Martin in Austin, Texas for 12 years and IBM – Technology for 5 years. He was a devoted catholic and a member of the band of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church along with a CCD for Immigrants.
He is preceded in death by his father Daniel S. Marquez, his mother Bonifacia M. Marquez and sister Connie M. Marquez.
Alfonso is survived by his siblings Daniel Marquez Jr., Estella Gonzalez, Adela Marquez, Bonnie Sims and Lupe M. Marquez.
Pallbearers will be Christoper Sims, Kevin Sims, Alonzo Rios, Jose D. Rios, Devon Marquez.
