Ernest Dominguez

Ernest Dominguez, 55, of Pecos, Texas, passed away on February 18, 2026, in Pecos.

Ernest was born on May 5, 1970, in Pecos, Texas, to Maria R. Dominguez and Justo Dominguez. Raised in the close-knit Pecos community, Ernest attended Pecos High School. He later continued his education at Odessa College where he built his career as a Commercial Heavy-Duty Truck Driver. He spent countless hours on the road, working long days and nights to support those he loved.

On February 22, 1999, Ernest married Belinda Dominguez, the love of his life and his greatest companion. Their marriage was built on laughter, and shared adventures. Whether it was simply driving around town together, listening to music, or enjoying everyday moments side by side, Ernest treasured the time he spent with Belinda.

Ernest enjoyed gambling and never passed up the opportunity to try his luck. Music was always a part of his life, often playing in the background whether he was relaxing at home or cruising through town. He loved barbecuing and bringing family and friends together. Ernest also had a deep appreciation for low riders and enjoyed the pride and style that came with them. He believed in enjoying the fruits of his hard work and was known for spending money on whatever brought him happiness.

Ernest was preceded in death by his mother, Maria R. Dominguez.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Belinda Dominguez; his children, John Dominguez and wife, Azlyan, Amber Dominguez and husband Joaquin, Fernando Dominguez, Ernest Dominguez Jr., Pearl Dominguez, Valerie Barraza, Alex Rayos and husband Kenny, Oscar Hernandez, Jacob Hernandez and wife Yadira, Victoria Morales and husband Johnny, Crystal Esparza Sanchez Hernandez Bazaldua and husband Ramon and Deedra Sanchez and Husband Luis; his father, Justo Dominguez; his brothers, Jerry Dominguez, Gabriel Dominguez, Larry Dominguez, Justo Dominguez Jr, Nicky Dominguez, his sisters, Brenda Dominguez, Debra Dominguez and Janet Dominguez, grandchildren; along with his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 9:00am to 9:00pm at Pecos Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Pecos Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Pecos, Texas.
