Maria Gloria Mendez, 78, of Kissimmee, Florida passed away on March 4, 2023. She was born on October 12, 1944 in Moca, Puerto Rico to Eustaquio Rivera and Basilisa Lopez. Maria Gloria worked as a caregiver for 40 plus years, she moved to Florida in March of 2022 from Olathe, Kansas and she was of the Christian faith.
Maria Gloria enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading the Bible and listening to Christian music. She was a small but mighty woman that will be greatly missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eustaquio and Basilisa; husband, Isaias Mendez Sr.; daughter, Betsaida Mendez; brother, Miguel Angel Rivera; and sister, Carmen Iris Ramos-Rivera. Maria Gloria leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Jorge Mendez, Isaias Mendez Jr., Jesus Mendez and Noel Mendez; daughter, Carmen Mendez; brothers, Felipe Rivera, Marco Rivera, Nelson Rivera, Hector Rivera, Alberto Valentin and Efrain Rivera; sisters, Angelica Rivera, Lucy Rivera, Daisy Valentin and Maribel Valentin; eight grandchildren, Jasmine Grayson, Brittany Grayson, Leslie Mendez, Axel Mendez, Diego Mendez, Vanessa Mendez, Anthony Mendez and Ashley Basjus; three great grandchildren, Analia Siegel, Mya Ballew and a baby boy on the way.
A visitation will be Friday, March 10, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. A second visitation will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a funeral service following immediately.

María Gloria Méndez, de 78 años, de Kissimmee, Florida, falleció el 4 de marzo del 2023. Nació el 12 de octubre del 1944 en Moca, Puerto Rico, hija de Eustaquio Rivera y Basilisa López. María Gloria trabajó como cuidadora durante más de 40 años, se mudó a Florida en marzo del 2022 desde Olathe, Kansas y era de la fe cristiana.
María Gloria disfrutó de los crucigramas, leer la Biblia y escuchar música cristiana. Era una mujer pequeña pero poderosa que todos extrañaremos mucho.
Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Eustaquio y Basilisa; esposo, Isaías Méndez Sr.; hija, Betsaida Méndez; hermano, Miguel Ángel Rivera; y hermana, Carmen Iris Ramos-Rivera. María Gloria deja para atesorar su memoria a sus hijos, Jorge Méndez, Isaías Méndez Jr., Jesús Méndez y Noel Méndez; hija, Carmen Méndez; hermanos, Felipe Rivera, Marco Rivera, Nelson Rivera, Héctor Rivera, Alberto Valentín y Efraín Rivera; hermanas, Angélica Rivera, Lucy Rivera, Daisy Valentín y Maribel Valentín; ocho nietos, Jazmine Grayson, Brittany Grayson, Leslie Méndez, Axel Méndez, Diego Méndez, Vanessa Méndez, George Anthony Méndez y Ashley Basjus; tres bisnietos, Analia Siegel, Mya Ballew y un bebé en camino.
Una visita será el viernes 10 de marzo del 2023 de 10:00 am a 11:30 am. Se llevará a cabo una segunda visita el sábado 11 de marzo del 2023 de 12:00 p. m. a 2:00 p. m. con un funeral inmediatamente después.
